Jill Thompson

Jill Thompson is the Executive Director of the Greater Knoxville Hospitality Association.  She has been a board member of Hospitality Tennessee for several years, currently holding the position of Ex Officio representing the Greater Knoxville region.  She is a board member of the Hospitality Tennessee Education Foundation.  She serves on the advisory board of the University of Tennessee Retail, Hospitality & Tourism Management program, the Tennessee Department of Education College & Career & Technical Education Hospitality & Tourism Management, Pellissippi State Community College Culinary/Hospitality and is a member of the Retail, Hospitality & Tourism Program Advisory Committee with the TN College of Applied Technology –Jacksboro.  Jill previously owned and/or managed hotels, restaurants, and an assisted living facility.  Jill is a Knoxville native and an alumna of Bearden High School and the University of Tennessee.   She and her husband reside in Powell.  Their son and family are also in Powell.  Their daughter and family live in St. Petersburg, FL.  They have 4 grandchildren.
